On the 19th of January, the Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs from the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Director of the Council of Farmers in Uzbekistan together with 20 farmers have visited the agricultural center of the Netherlands.
The Friesian Dairy development company represented by Project Director Jan Braaksma and the Director of the Council of Farmers Mirzahid Yuldashev signed the Memorandum of Understanding. Whereas both parties are looking forward to establish and develop an effective cooperation in the agricultural sector.
The Friesian arranged a tour in the northern part of the Netherlands for the Uzbeks farmers. The Dairy campus in Leeuwarden is visited, the campus is the place where researchers can conduct pioneering research in the dairy chain. Besides that the Dairy Training Centre in Oenkerk is visited, with the focus on milk processing. The group of farmers was able to see a small scale processing plant fucntioning as training facility. The day was ended by visiting a fully automatized milking robot farm in Langezwaag.
