The dairy sector in East Africa is transforming rapidly to keep up with growing domestic demand. In recent years, Dutch and East African partners worked together on a range of challenges in dairy, from farm productivity to consumption and from business development to the policy environment.
The Dutch organisations are inviting their partners for a regional dairy event on 4 hot issues: milk quality, fodder, inclusive dairy business and dairy professionals 2.0. The central questions for each hot issue are: what are we learning and what is needed to turn the dairy sector into a motor of healthy growth.
This is your opportunity to connect to other dairy professionals, to showcase your tested solutions and knowledge products and to co-create the learning agenda for the next years. Don’t miss out on:
Geert Westenbrink – advisor NEADAP
Nathaniel Makoni – the well-recognised expert in dairy in EA
– Interactive workshops on Milk Quality (by Bles Dairies), Forage, Inclusive Business and Dairy Professionals 2.0
– Solutions barn: showcasing solutions/innovations/products
– Break-out sessions setting the learning priorities by country and for East Africa
The invitation is for dairy cooperatives, processors, other dairy businesses, research and education, policy makers and NGOs active in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda.
