JOB RESPONSIBILITTIES:
- Organize the sales of genetics to dairy farmers through direct sales and a sales network of agents and distributors
- Develop and manage the sales network, including expanding the network with new farmers, agents and distributors
- Develop and Organize sales/distribution agreements with farmers, agents and distributors, including the sales conditions and commission
- Manage logistics (supply) of goods to agents and distributors. This includes assisting the farmers, agents/distributors with the supply of nitrogen and organizing a monitoring & reporting system of nitrogen stock levels,
- Manage sales in accordance to instructions and guidance of the sales manager
- Apply disciplines of sales procedures e.g. invoicing, time planning, stock keeping, losses and reporting
- Intermediate with Dairy Advisors concerning farmer’s feedback and requirements e.g. requirements of training
- Establish and adjust selling prices (after approval of sales manager) by monitoring costs, competition, and supply & demand
- Organise and assist with sales promotion activities e.g. field days and agricultural fairs
- Coordinate customer feedback e.g. product quality, pricing, logistics, other needs
- Prepare annual sales budget, including sales objectives, pricing of goods, forecast and sales quotas for the different regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit
- Communication with clients (especially social media)
- Managerial planning on sales organization and strategy
- Planning pre-sales operations (routes and appointments with clients)
- Reporting to management on planning.
- Deliver periodical (monthly) progress reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Animal Health
- Certificate in Artificial Insemination – must
- Work experience: 1-2 Years in sales and experience in working with farmers groups and cooperatives.
- Understanding of a sales representative model and key performance metrics
- Analytical and a problem-solving skills
- Clear and confident communicator with ability to articulate sales target and strategies to the team.
