In 2020, Bles Dairies was given a confidential assignment to bring in its dairy farming expertise in a due diligence for a possible strategic partnership in Southeast Asia. It concerned a large integrated chain with 16,000 dairy cows. This dairy company owns a leading brand in the fresh pasteurized milk and the stirred yogurt categories in Indonesia exporting to Southeast Asian countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Myanmar.
Due to the Covid-19 travel restrictions we have worked together with our local partner in Asia to perform the farm visit to Indonesia’s largest dairy farm operations milking Holstein and Jersey cattle. Furthermore, Bles Dairies experts Henk Bles and Auke Cnossen have actively been involved from a distance in analysing the technical and financial data and making a forecast on the possibilities and potential risks.
