On the 9th of March 2015, the Friesian participated in the Business Round Table meeting with Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mr. Pavlenko. The meeting was chaired by Albert Jan Maat, president of LTO Nederland. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss strategic issues concerning agriculturall relations between Ukraine and the Netherlands.
Mr. Siebren van der Zwaag, Commercial Director of the Friesian, part of Bles Dairies Group, mentioned during the meeting: Small-medium enterprises in the dairy sector have difficulties to get access to credit lines. Mr. Pavelenko fully agreed with the remark of Mr. van der Zwaag. Also the idea to develop practical Dairy Training Centre in Ukraine was discussed and agreed.
During the meeting Mr. Pavlenko mentioned that Ukraine has many advantages in the field of Agriculture. In order to support the sector, the government has started a $ 8 billion worth program for the coming three years.
