The Friesian, Bles Dairies’ consultancy discipline, is partner with SNV Uganda in the so-called TIDE project (The inclusive Dairy Enterprise project). The project has four main activities and one of these activities is the introduction of a Quality Based Milk Payment System (QBMPS). The Friesian is the lead firm in this project activity. In March 2016, the Friesian conducted an inception mission to assess the current systems and situation on raw milk quality, testing and payment. Visits were made to MCCs, milk processors, milk traders’ farms, labs and the Dairy development Authority. For the next 3 years The Friesian is engaged in the development and implementation of QBMPS.
