Change
Charles Darwin once quoted: ‘It is not the most intellectual of the species that survives; it is not the strongest that survives; but the species that survives is the one that is able best to adapt and adjust to the changing environment in which it finds itself.’ I believe this applies to many occasions and especially when you are in dairy farming. Either when you are farming in the Netherlands or in Zambia change is an integral part of growth.
Vision
Nevertheless, change without a vision is useless. The required vision creates clarity and perspective. It creates a road map towards a joint goal. Change requires commitment, adaptability and is not always fun to step into the unknown. But change will help us to grow and be more profitable.
